RE Teacher

RE Teachers work in a team of three to lead Sunday morning religious education classes.

Detailed Description:
RE teachers run each of our classrooms on Sunday mornings- Chalice Children for preschoolers, Treasure Hunters for K-2nd graders, Wisdom Seekers for 3rd-5th graders, and Pathfinders for 6th-8th graders. Each teacher teaches one Sunday a month during the 9:15 service, with three teachers for each class in total. The fourth and fifth Sundays of each month are multi age Sundays lead by the Director of Family Ministry. RE Teachers receive curriculum and guidance from the DFM, and then work together to maintain consistency, find the best methods that work with those individual children, and get to know the classes. The goal of an RE Teacher is to know your kids well, establish QUUF as a place one can be their authentic self, and to explore values, community, and UUism together. The number of children in each class varies between about 4-10, depending on the year.
