Youth Advisors work in a team with the Director of Family Ministry (DFM) to lead Sunday evening high school youth group.
Our QUUF youth are integral members of our congregation. Advisers are rewarded with fun, enlightenment, and the pleasure of being in the world of young people. This role is a great position for those who are sincerely interested in young people and take joy in working with them. Effective Youth Advisors are essential to guiding our young people at this critical time of their life.
Successful Youth Advisors enjoy high school youth, are able to encourage youth leadership and understand the focus is on facilitating spiritual and emotional growth in youth. Adults must be flexible, good listeners, confidential, and willing to grow.
Youth Advisers must be at least 25 years old. They must read the QUUF Safety Policy, sign appropriate documents, and agree to a background screening.
